Misty Jones (they/them/theirs) is a Black, queer, non-binary, femme, plus-size, theatre and film actor/writer, filmmaker, and voiceover artist based in New York City since 2010. Misty can be heard as Jesse in What We Look Like (co-written with Jonathan Mello) on Season 3 of "The Parsnip Ship" - available on Itunes, Stitcher, and Spotify. Misty’s first foray into creating opportunities with limited funds was their concept trailer/short I’ll Hold, directed by Gracie Gardner. I’ll Hold received official selection laurels from UK Screen One International Film Festival, TMC London Film Festival, Red Corner Film Festival, and Direct Monthly Online Film Festival. Most recently Misty’s play The Night of the Pink Supermoon was one of five plays commissioned by Mixily Presents (sponsored by Mixily) for “Beyond The Frame: New Zoom Plays.” This was one of the first waves of new work to be commissioned specifically for performance on Zoom.
