Daniella De Jesús is an actress, poet and playwright from pre-gentrified Bushwick, Brooklyn. Recent performance credits include, "Orange is the New Black" (Netflix), "The Skriker" (NYU), "Take Me Home" ({LRP}, Incubator Arts Project), and "The Thief Cometh" (United Solo Festival), an original one-woman show about the gentrification of Bushwick, written by Daniella. Daniella devised and directed "ASSORTED CRACKERS: A Reverse Minstrel Show" (NYU) and is currently in the process of writing a black comedy about Christopher Columbus and his dumb ass. Her poetry can be found in "Young, Colored & Angry", "Vagabond City Literary Journal", "Chiflada Magazine", and the upcoming film "Coco" (2016, directed by RZA), which she also appeared in as an actress. She is a graduate of NYU Tisch School of the Arts with a BFA in Drama.
